American fashion designer Dennis Basso, renowned for his couture fur pieces, launches his first fragrance, simply named Dennis Basso.

“I love the idea of being able to dress women and give them part of my world,” the designer told wwd. “I truly wanted this to be a signature fragrance, but this is just the beginning. I would love to do more scents in the future, and create complementary products like sachets. I’ve waited so long to do this — I didn’t want to make something just for the sake of doing one, so I was extremely involved in putting it together.” He also adds: “If I’m going to put my name on it, I want to be involved from start to finish.”

The fragrance is developed in collaboration with Firmenich and The Cloudbreak Group. It is made so that women can wear it in day and night events, consisting of fresh citruses in the top, the heart of white flowers and twoody - musky notes in the base.

Top notes: Italian bergamot, lemon, green apple. Heart: orange blossom, sambac jasmine, French tuberose. Base: cashmere wood, cedar, white musk.

The bottle is round, heavy, luxurious and modern with sides covered in fake fur. The stopper is made of faceted crystal with an engraved silver-tone plaque. The fragrance is available as 75 ml Eau de Parfum at the price of $69 Dennis Basso was launched in 2012.
